Account data: If you create an account (when available), we collect a username and password hash. We do not collect email addresses unless you voluntarily provide one.

3. How We Use Your Data

Local data is used solely to enhance your reading experience — saving your place, tracking achievements, and personalising the interface. We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties.

4. Cookies

The Platform does not use tracking cookies. Browser localStorage is used for functional purposes only (e.g., theme preference, reading progress).

5. Third-Party Services

The Platform is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub's own privacy policy applies to hosting infrastructure. We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Local data persists until you clear your browser storage or use the "Reset Progress" function in your account settings. Future account data will be retained until you request deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

Breaking Worlds is a dark fantasy novel with mature themes. It is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
