Taledom — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Taledom's platform, applications, tools, and services. They constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Natoken LLC. Please read them carefully.
Introduction and Acceptance
Taledom is a creative publishing platform, writing tool, and reader application operated by Natoken LLC. ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of Taledom's website, applications, tools, and services (collectively, the "Service" or "Platform").
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Content Rules, our Payment Terms, our Copyright Policy, and any additional terms that may apply to specific features or services you use. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Natoken LLC. Additional agreements, including but not limited to the Author Terms and publishing contracts, may supplement these Terms and shall govern where they apply.
Eligibility
You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to use the Service as a reader. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to enter into any payment agreement, publishing contract, or monetization arrangement through the Service, including but not limited to Payment Activation, Non-Exclusive Contracts, and Exclusive Contracts. By entering into any such agreement, you represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.

If we discover that a user under the age of thirteen (13) has created an account, we will terminate that account and delete associated personal information promptly. If you believe a user under thirteen (13) is using the Service, please contact us at hi@taledom.com.
Account Registration and Security
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. Taledom shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.
- You may not transfer, sell, or assign your account to another person.
- You may not create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing platform rules, manipulating metrics, or evading enforcement actions.
- Taledom reserves the right to merge, suspend, or terminate duplicate or fraudulent accounts without notice.
The Service
Platform Description
Taledom provides a platform for creative written works, including but not limited to novels, serialized fiction, short stories, and related literary content. The Platform serves as a writing tool for authors, a publishing platform for distribution, and a reader application for consumption of content.
Future expansions of the Service may include, but are not limited to, comic hosting, audiobook distribution, and additional multimedia content formats. Such expansions will be governed by these Terms and any additional terms introduced at that time.
Content on the Platform
The Service hosts both free and paid content. Authors may publish works for free at any time. The ability to monetize content through paywalls is subject to the completion requirements and contractual obligations set forth in the Author Terms.
Age-Restricted Content
Certain content on the Platform may be designated as age-restricted or mature in nature. Such content is age-gated and accessible only to users who have confirmed they meet the applicable age requirements. The Platform employs content classification systems to ensure appropriate access controls are maintained.
Advertising
Taledom does not display third-party advertisements within the reading or writing experience. The Platform is maintained as an ad-free environment to preserve the quality of the user experience.
Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all intellectual property rights in the content you create and publish on the Platform ("User Content"). Taledom does not claim ownership of your User Content.
By publishing User Content on the Platform, you grant Taledom a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and make available your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service. This license continues for as long as your content remains on the Platform and for a reasonable period following removal to allow for the completion of existing reader access.
Authors who enter into specific publishing contracts (Non-Exclusive or Exclusive) grant additional rights as set forth in those separate agreements. In the event of conflict between these Terms and the terms of a publishing contract, the publishing contract shall govern with respect to the specific works covered.
Platform Content
The Service, including its design, features, functionality, code, and branding (collectively, "Platform Content"), is owned by Natoken LLC. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of Platform Content without our express written permission.
Reader License
When a reader purchases access to content using Coins, the reader receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to read and access that content through the Platform for personal, non-commercial use. This license does not constitute a sale or transfer of ownership of the content. The availability of purchased content is subject to the author's continued publication on the Platform and the terms of their applicable agreement.
Fan Fiction and Derivative Works
The Platform may host fan fiction and other derivative works created by authors. Authors who publish fan fiction or derivative works bear sole responsibility for ensuring their content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of third parties. Taledom acts as a hosting platform for such content and makes no representations regarding the legality or authorization of fan fiction or derivative works. Authors publishing such content agree to the indemnification obligations set forth in the Indemnification section of these Terms.
Prohibited Conduct
(a) Upload, publish, or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.
(b) Infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights of any person or entity.
(c) Upload content that is fully generated by artificial intelligence. AI-assisted content where the author has substantially contributed to and directed the creative work is permitted, but the author must be the primary creative force behind the work.
(d) Engage in review manipulation, including but not limited to fake reviews, coordinated review bombing, rating manipulation, or any organized effort to artificially inflate or deflate the perceived quality of any content on the Platform.
(e) Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the Service, create accounts, generate views or downloads, manipulate metrics, or circumvent any access controls or rate limits.
(f) Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service.
(g) Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization.
(h) Promote illegal activities, including but not limited to the distribution of illicit substances, weapons, or other prohibited materials.
(i) Engage in any coordinated attacks, harassment campaigns, doxxing, stalking, or any organized effort to harm, intimidate, or silence any user, author, or member of the Taledom community.
(j) Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any security, access control, or content protection features of the Service.
(k) Scrape, copy, reproduce, or redistribute content from the Platform without authorization from the content owner and Taledom.
Taledom maintains a dedicated moderation team to investigate and address violations of these rules. We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, and take any action we deem necessary to protect the integrity of the Platform and its community.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NATOKEN LLC. DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TALEDOM DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. TALEDOM DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT ON THE PLATFORM.
TALEDOM MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING THE PRESERVATION, BACKUP, OR SECURITY OF USER CONTENT. WHILE TALEDOM PROVIDES TOOLS AND FEATURES TO ASSIST WITH CONTENT BACKUP AND SECURITY, USERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THEIR OWN BACKUPS OF THEIR CONTENT. TALEDOM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, CORRUPTION, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO USER CONTENT.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL NATOKEN LLC., ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
(i) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content; (v) chargebacks, refunds, or payment disputes; (vi) loss of or damage to your content, data, or creative works.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF NATOKEN LLC. FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00 USD) OR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO NATOKEN LLC. IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Natoken LLC., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
(a) your use of or access to the Service;
(b) your User Content, including but not limited to claims of intellectual property infringement arising from fan fiction, derivative works, or any other content you publish;
(c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation;
(d) your violation of any rights of any third party.
Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
Before initiating any formal dispute resolution proceeding, you agree to first contact us at hi@taledom.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any dispute through good faith negotiation within thirty (30) days.
Arbitration (United States Users)
For users located in the United States, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Travis County, Texas, or at another mutually agreed location.
YOU AND NATOKEN LLC. AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.
European Economic Area Users
For users located within the European Economic Area (EEA), nothing in these Terms shall be construed to limit or waive any rights afforded to you under mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction, including the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. The arbitration provisions do not apply to EEA users to the extent they conflict with mandatory local law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, except where superseded by mandatory local law applicable to you.
Modifications to Terms and Service
Changes to Terms
Taledom reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time. Changes that do not materially affect your rights or obligations may be made without prior notice. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Changes Affecting Author Earnings
Any modifications to these Terms or related agreements that materially affect author earnings, revenue share percentages, or contractual benefits will be communicated with at least thirty (30) days' prior written notice. Continued use of the Platform following the effective date of such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Changes to the Service
Taledom reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. Taledom shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
Termination
Termination by You
You may deactivate your account at any time through the Platform's account settings or by contacting us at hi@taledom.com. Deactivation of your account does not release you from any obligations that accrued prior to termination, including any publishing contracts.
Termination by Taledom
Taledom reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account, access to the Service, or any content at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, prolonged inactivity, or any conduct that Taledom, in its sole discretion, deems harmful to the Platform, its users, or its operations.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to access the Service will cease immediately, except as otherwise provided in any applicable publishing contract. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.
Software License
Limited License
Subject to your complete and ongoing compliance with these Terms, Taledom grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to:
(a) install and use one copy of any mobile or desktop application associated with the Service obtained from a legitimate marketplace on a device that you own or control; and
(b) access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use (or for authorized commercial use, in the case of authors publishing under a publishing agreement).
License Restrictions
- Reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or publicly perform the Service or any part thereof
- Make modifications to the Service or any part thereof
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of any portion of the Service
- Interfere with or circumvent any feature of the Service, including any security or access control mechanism
- Use the Service to build a competing product or service
Third-Party Services and Linked Content
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not owned or controlled by Taledom. The Service may also provide tools that enable you to export information or link your Taledom account with third-party services (such as social media platforms).
Taledom has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. By using any third-party integration or following any link, you do so at your own risk and agree that Taledom is not responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with the use of any third-party content, services, or websites.
Feedback
If you choose to provide input, suggestions, ideas, or feedback regarding problems with, or proposed modifications or improvements to, the Service ("Feedback"), you hereby grant Taledom an unrestricted, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, fully-paid, royalty-free right and license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and otherwise exploit the Feedback in any manner and for any purpose, including to improve the Service and create other products and services. You acknowledge that Taledom is not obligated to use any Feedback and that Feedback does not create any confidential relationship or obligation on the part of Taledom.
Consent to Electronic Communications
By using the Service, you consent to receiving electronic communications from Taledom, including but not limited to account notifications, transaction confirmations, service updates, policy changes, and promotional communications (where permitted and with opt-out options). You agree that any notices, agreements, disclosures, or other communications that we send to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
Mobile Application Terms
Apple iOS
If you are using the Service through a mobile application on an iOS device, the following additional terms apply.
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Taledom only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"), and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the Service. If the Service fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund any applicable purchase price for the mobile application; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or any third party relating to the Service, including product liability claims, claims that the Service fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that the Service infringes that third party's intellectual property rights. You agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the Service. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Google Android
If you are using the Service through a mobile application on an Android device, the following additional terms apply.
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Taledom only, not with Google LLC ("Google") or any Google affiliate, and Google is not responsible for the Service or its content. Google has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services with respect to the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Google has no warranty obligation with respect to the Service beyond what is required by applicable law. Google is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Service.
General Provisions
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalidity of any single provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining Terms.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Content Rules, Payment Terms, Copyright Policy, Subscription Terms, Author Terms, and any applicable publishing contracts, constitute the entire agreement between you and Natoken LLC. regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
No Waiver
The failure of Taledom to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision shall only be effective if in writing and signed by Natoken LLC.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of Natoken LLC. Natoken LLC. may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
Force Majeure
Natoken LLC. shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, pandemic, war, terrorism, labor disputes, power failures, internet disruptions, or acts of third parties.
